HISTORY
Designed by the renowned architect Miguel Martín-Fernández de la Torre, the hotel, located in the street "Calle Muelle de Las Palmas" has been among the figureheads of the capital of Gran Canaria since 1940. In its beginnings, 1932, the building hosted a grand cafe with two blocks of gabled houses. From 1940 on, building was transformed into the actual hotel. The building consists of seven floors in the gables of the block and six floors in the center. Nowadays, there is one more, glass panelled floor, where the restaurant is located. The outer part of the building hosts single family apartments, whereas the central part hosts the hotel.
Due to its age and importance regarding the capital, the Hotel Parque is protected and has been included in the general catalogue of protection by the Government of Las Palmas.
